Pete Monfre: President/CEO
Pete Monfre is a twenty five year veteran of the advertising and marketing industry who founded a successful marketing and branding firm serving Fortune 100 and 500 clients in the industrial technology sector. Monfre is also an accomplished educator, photographer, award winning musician, writer, consultant, videographer and producer. He has been recognized by President Obama for his work in education with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.
Heidi V. Acott: Vice President/Creative Director
Heidi Acott is an experienced graphic artist, illustrator, photographer and producer with over twenty five years of experience working for Fortune 100 and 500 clients. During her career she has provided strategic direction for many multi-national corporations including Harley Davidson, Eaton and Rockwell. She is also an accomplished home school educator and advocate for students.
Joe Elliott: Vice President
Joseph E. Elliott is the former president of School Specialty Science which includes Delta Education, CPO Science, Neo/SCI, and Frey Scientific. Throughout his 30+ year professional career, Joe has been employed by a number of organizations including ACI Films, Films Incorporated, Coronet/MTI Film and Video (as President), and Encyclopedia Britannica (EB) where he was President of their Educational Division. At EB, he was instrumental in growing the hands-on science curriculum business (FOSS) from development to $12 million in revenue in two years. Elliott holds a MA in English from the University of California at Irvine.
Mark Tullis: Business Development
Mark Tullis is a versatile business development executive who has helped several education start-ups grow and become profitable in the past two decades. His career has focused on publishing, hi-tech and ed-tech start-ups. At Learning.com, Mark was the founding VP of Business Development and helped secure four rounds of investment, brought in the first school-, district- and statewide sales, and for over 11 years managed the company’s critical state contracts which contributed over 60% of total company revenue from 2005 to the present. Tullis holds a MALD in Business, Law and Diplomacy from Tufts University and a B.A in International Relations from Brigham Young University.
Director of Instruction – Mark Barnett
Barnett is a former STEM Education Specialist at Education Service Center Region 20 in San Antonio, Texas where he worked with school district leaders and educators to implement STEM programs and curriculum. Known for crafting rich experiences for K-12 students with an emphasis on design, engineering and technology integration Mark is a noted voice in shifting from traditional education practices to 21st century learning.
Enzo Monfre: Creator of Exploration Nation
Monfre originally created Enzoology’s premier branded program, Exploration Nation when he was seven years old. Now an accomplished television host and personality, Enzo has appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show, NBC News, Time Magazine, Forbes, Scientific American and many other press outlets. He is one of the youngest recipients of the Gold Presidential Service Award and was named an International Eco-Hero in 2010 and a Time Warner STEM Champion in 2011. He continues to host and produce Exploration Nation when he’s not out riding his bike.
